The Best Answer To Bad Speech Is More Speech!

Posted in Politics News at 1:53 am by admin

Throughout history, societies have wrestled with a crucial choice: When we hear a speaker that the state feels is threatening, do we shut him down, squelch him instantly, and if necessary, brutally, or do we allow him to continue, and by doing so run risks of promoting instability and even, revolution?

America’s answer has been mixed. Officially, we enjoy freedom of speech under the First Amendment to the Constitution. But this is a right that is not absolute.

During wartime, political speech has been curtailed. World War I brought some seminal cases before the U.S. Supreme Court that are still used as authority to restrict what one Justice called, shouting “fire” in a crowded theater.

But, the sole voice of dissent, which by necessity must be loud, dramatic, and extreme, to garner attention, can be the only sane one to be heard when the drums of war are beating loudly and incessantly.

We don’t like to listen to contrary opinion when we’re pumped up to drop bombs, yet this is exactly what we’re fighting to preserve: our way of life, and that includes our right to be contrary, to say “no,” when the rest of society seems to be shouting, “yes!”

If we don’t like an opinion, we should be free to argue against it, to persuade the other party that he is mistaken, and we should do this persistently, tirelessly, vigorously, but peacefully.

The idea is simple, if we can keep the dialogue going long enough, we’ll finally see the other’s interests, and he, ours, and we’ll be able to find common ground.

Wouldn’t this have been a preferable course than that which we in America rushed into, in most of the conflicts since World War II?

The U.S. Settles Accounts with Belarus

Posted in Politics News at 10:06 pm by admin

Black list

In his address to US Congress, George W. Bush ordered to freeze the accounts of Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenka, KGB chairman Stepan Sukhorenko, Security Council Secretary Viktor Sheiman, Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Naumov, Minister of Justice Viktor Golovanov, Prosecutor General Petr Miklashevich, Central Electoral Commission Head Lidia Ermoshina, President’s Administration Head Gennady Nevyglas, Speaker of Lower House of Parliament Vladimir Konoplev, Head of state-owned TV and radio company Aleksandr Zimovsky, and Deputy Head of President’s Administration Natalya Petkevich.

Nominal black list of top Belarus officials was accompanied by George Bush’s caption: “There is no place in a Europe whole and free for a regime of this kind.” However, the list is not complete yet. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is charged with enlarging the list.

The White House named the vote fraud during the last presidential election in Belarus in March 2006 as the main reason for the sanctions. Aleksandr Lukashenka won presidency for the third time running with as much as 83 percent of votes. The U.S. also dislikes Lukashenka’s regime for repressing the protesters after the election results were announced, amd the on-going persecution of opposition members in Belarus.

So, the U.S. set a course for the gradual stiffening of sanctions against Lukashenka’s regime. The possibility of such measures became known long before Belarus presidential election in March. Shortly before the election, Bush informed the Congress on personal incomes of Lukashenka and other Belarus leaders. Belarussian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called this information “black PR on the eve of election.”

George Bush signed a decree on May 12, which is the first punitive measure imposed by Washington. The decree bans top Belarus officials from entry to the U.S., as a punishment for electoral fraud, breach of human rights, and corruption. The sanctions concerned even the officials’ family members and businessmen “who have business relations with Belarus government.”

The U.S. adopts practically similar measures against Lukashenka to those of the EU. In early April 2006, Brussels declared Lukashenka and 30 top officials of Belarus personae non grata in EU countries. On May 18, the EU ordered to freeze their accounts in European banks. According to this order, accounts of Lukashenka, heads of Internal Affairs Ministry and KGB, Prosecutor General, Speaker of Lower House of Parliament, and Presidential Administration officialsof over 30 peoplewill be frozen.

Thus, Belarus is now under the double blow from the Westthe U.S. and the EU. This only strengthens the effect of the pressure on Lukashenka’s regime.

“Take it all”

US Ambassador to Belarus George Krol has recently promised that “if the decision to freeze Belarus officials’ accounts is adopted, then active search for these accounts will begin.” So, “Lukashenka’s money” in the U.S. is being looked for since yesterday.

However, Minsk does not worry, or, at any rate, does not show it. Head of Legislation and Legal Issues Committee of the Lower House of Parliament Aleksandr Arkhipov yesterday assured that US president’s order to freeze the accounts of Belarus top officials will have no consequences. He said that according to the law on state service, Belarus officials are not allowed to have accounts in foreign banks. “So,” summed up Arkhipov, “all these statements are unfounded, and demonstrate the position only of some politicians, and nothing more.”

Lukashenka himself responded to the West’s accusations of him even earlier. “There can be no secrets in our world. Especially, those that are ascribed to me, that I have allegedly stolen billions of dollars. These are lies and fibs. I’m telling my minister: ‘Urgently prepare the report on my income, on my behalf, and write a postscript “take all my money that are in Switzerland or elsewhere.” Because it is all under the CIA’s control, they know everything. So let them take it all.”

Lukashenka probably has reasons to stay calm. Yet, these reasons do not include his confidence that Americans or Europeans will not find his accounts. Apparently, the American blow against Lukashenka’s regime is aimed not only at Belarus.

Probing warm-up

Bush’s order to stiffen sanctions against Belarus was announced three days before the Collective Security Treaty Organization summit in Minsk. The summit will discuss issues of coordinating the CSTO’s external policy. It is expected that the CSTO will be transformed into an international multi-functional universal structure, and collective forces for emergency response will be created.

The summit’s intense agenda means that Moscow is trying to enhance the role and significance of the CSTO, and in a very specific direction. CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha yesterday said that “CSTO officials are concerned about the creation of NATO military infrastructure around Russia and Belarus.”

Moscow, apparently, regards the CSTO summit as an important step in the preparation for the G8 summit in St. Petersburg in July, to which it attaches great importance. The success of the CSTO summit in Minsk would allow Russia to speak not only for itself, but also on the behalf of a “serious regional structure.”

US decision on sanctions against Belarus seriously undermines the image of that very structure, making at least one of its members look like a rogue state and a choker of democracy.

On the eve of the G8, Russia and the U.S. exchanged lunges on Georgian direction as well. Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili. Although the meeting did not solve any of acute problems in Russia-Georgia relations, it allowed Moscow to announce that it does everything to settle differences with Georgia and does not need mediators.

Yet, immediately after that, Bush notably made an appointment with Mikhail Saakashvili for July 5 in Washington. Speaker of Georgian Parliament Nino Burdjanadze was straightforward yesterday: “Georgian president will use his meeting with George Bush to set before him the real picture of Russia-Georgia relations and arrangement of conflicts. This meeting is also important due to passing before the G8 summit, where situation in Georgia may be discussed.”

Finally, there is another curious coincidence. Bush announced anti-Belarus sanctions en route to Vienna which hosts US-EU summit this week. The summit will primarily discuss Iran nuclear crisis and situation in Belarus.

Thus, the upcoming summit in Vienna may become Washington’s response to the recent SCO summit in Shanghai, on the eve of the G8 summit in St. Petersburg.

The Intelligence Summit Misses the Mark: the German-Jesuit Threat to World Peace

Posted in Politics News at 12:12 am by admin

Greetings to one and all, in the name and memory of Herbert W. Armstrong who visited and addressed many leaders of the nations you represent here today. Mr. Armstrong, ambassador for world peace without political portfolio, was a man sent by the Great Creator God (who made all men and determined the boundaries and languages of each nation) to deliver a bittersweet message.

I shall also deliver that bittersweet message, standing before you, facing the nations, dressed in a black t shirt, jeans and sackcloth — not your typical attire for such important affairs, but these are not normal times and business as usual will soon be history, as you all very much know and express your concern by gathering here in the United States of America to address these issues that threaten all mankind.

The world waits with bated breath to hear the recording of the former tyrant Saddam Hussein and questions whether they will confirm his weapons of mass destruction program and justify President George W. Bush’s decision to launch his preemptive attack against belligerent Iraq. Regardless, our American troops have already been dispatched, they have bravely fought and deposed the proud dictator who imagined himself a modern Nebuchadnezzar driven to destroy the Jews, and free elections have now been held in that liberated country - not that democracy alone is the message God has ordained our British-Israelite nations to spread. But I share with you a greater recording that will directly affect each and every one of you, and trouble your nations and bring mankind to the brink of extinction unless that “Strong Unseen Hand from Someplace” intervenes and saves us from ourselves.

From reading Ryan Mauro’s book, Death to America: The Unreported Battle of Iraq — it was impressed upon my mind how mad some Muslims are driven by the jinns of jihad and insanely seek to wreak havoc and destruction upon all the world who rejects their false vision. I gladly testify that not all Muslims share their perverted passion, as is evident in noble men like Sheik Abdul Hadi Palazzi of Rome, Italy.

However, I do solemnly affirm that such spiritual sickness does not only afflict the Muslim world, but that such religious fanaticism is again to rear its ugly head in blood-soaked Europe. Europe’s rapid response to jihad will be a new crusade that will slaughter both Arabs and Jews and every Christian who doesn’t agree with the Roman Catholic Church!

The Prophet Daniel records some great provocation, an Islamic confederation or network of sorts that is soon to butt heads with Catholic Europe (Daniel 11:40-45), resulting in a blitzkrieg operation that will strike them dead in the Middle East, taking out countries like Egypt and subduing Libya and Ethiopia and undoubtedly overwhelming Iran.

That is good news. Europe — not America — will neutralize the Nazi-Muslim threat. However, the bad news is that it will bring out the beast in Europe and only whet their appetite for more blood. Europe will morph into the final revival of the unholy Roman Empire of the German Nation, and demand Jerusalem become an “international city,” as called for by the accursed UN Resolution 181. The Germans and Jesuits have been the major influence behind this strategic move and have their evil eyes on the prize of Jerusalem, especially the coveted Temple Mount.

The whole world has been focusing on Islamic terrorism, as is understandable, but the greatest threat to world peace is the German-dominated European Union! The United States has foolishly been helping to create such a Frankenstein Monster that will brutally betray both the American, British and Jewish peoples. Herbert W. Armstrong warned of this clear and present danger — as an early warning system — for years. The weapons of mass destruction that the increasingly fascist EU possess will unleash nuclear terror upon our major cities and rain down death and destruction upon us and those who survive will suffer deportation due to our idolatry and immorality.

These biblical warnings, based upon reliable information obtained from Daniel and the Book of Revelation, are the greatest recording all mankind must hear and heed — if we’re to be spared from WWIII. I’m here to announce this plain truth as a witness and a warning and share it within Beyond Babylon: Europe’s Rise and Fall. What you do with it is between you and your Maker, but I encourage you to take it seriously and choose life and help save your respective nations.

David Ben-Ariel is a Christian-Zionist writer in Ohio and author of Beyond Babylon: Europe’s Rise and Fall. With a focus on the Middle East and Jerusalem, his analytical articles help others improve their understanding of that troubled region. Check out Beyond Babylon.

Democrat Information Websites Purport Misinformation

Posted in Politics News at 7:53 am by admin

Did you know that many Democratic Websites purport misinformation? Few people realize this. Did you know the Democratic Party wanted to fund 80-million dollars to build think tanks to promote their views and selectively pick and choose and even create research reports?

Recently a self-proclaimed “Moderate Democrat” was taken aback by these comments and ask me point blank; “Could you please tell me how that is misinformation.”

Well certainly you see; if you are a Democrat and subscribe to that liberal line of thinking, which in fact is not reality based, then any push to move people in that direction using any of the tactics Democrats use normally would be misinformation. Liberalism is a lie and a linear view of a potential utopia that does not exist and can never exist without folks like me [innovators and entrepreneurs] willing to get out and make it happen. But liberals do nothing but attack those who actually have what it takes to get there. It is a dead end. Misinforming people to follow you to a dead end is unacceptable.

The Moderate Democrat Gentleman further indicated in his defense that rather than complaining about things he was going to do something to bring information to the people and to enlighten them. But if you look at the reports and stance that Democrats take their tactics include degrading and complaining. That generally is all they do, rarely do they have any solutions and when they do it is to tell everyone else what to do and how to do it, while they sit on their PhDs, yet have never had to make a payroll.

Academia is a brainwashing machine run by those who have been indoctrinated in the same. They think they know everything and so few have ever done anything except in one or two specific fields or industries. They talk about the homeless, yet do not know any homeless people. They talk about business, but few have ever run one. They talk about alternative hybrid vehicles so they buy one for their maid and think that suffices, face it they do not walk the talk. They tell everyone not to tell them what to do, then turn around and tell everyone else how to live, run their businesses and what to do? Silly hypocrisy indeed, but it is all sound and fury anyway, so I cannot be concerned. Although I thought you should know. Consider this in 2006.
